Just so you know, the CF-2010 shelf arrived yesterday, and I put it under my Musical Fidelity A5 CD player. I noticed an immediate improvement in musicality of the system (BAT VK-5 preamp, Thiel 2.4's, Shunyata & Cardas). Not sure exactly how to describe it, but the music seemed to have more "color" or "sparkle", and seemed more lifelike and present. If I had to guess, I'd say that the very upper reaches of the frequency range are coming through more clearly, but without typical high end glare or hardness." Have now received and put the second shelf into my system, this time under the BAT tube preamp (see attached photo). My initial impression when I sat down to listen was that it had a "big boy" sound, sophisticated, pleasing, greater depth and more of those elusive qualities of realism and "lit from within" tone.

There are lots of vibration control products on the market. Many do nothing good, some change the sound, few actually offer improved sound with a variety of different components. Only the best reduce distortion-causing vibration without also diminishing the speed, clarity, detail, and dynamics of your system. Having tried most of what's out there, I was more than skeptical about a new player in the field, even one with compelling technology and an impressive background. I don't want simple changes in the sound - I want clear improvements, with minimal or no downside. Fortunately, I am equal parts inquisitive and jaded, so I was willing to try Gus's products. Little did I know….. Several months and several dollars later I have reconfigured my system with Composite Products' cones, platforms, pads and racks. They all do exactly what they're supposed to do, without introducing unwanted side-effects to my system. I can listen at louder levels without strain or fatigue, I can listen at lower levels without having to strain to hear detail and subtle ambient cues. Bass is tuneful, textured and has great wallop, the mids and treble are nuanced and well integrated, and the 'you are there' realism of my system is better than it's ever been. My system does all the audiophile stuff better now, but it also does a wonderful job of conveying the emotion and core of the music, portraying instruments with a harmonic completeness that is quite addictive. While some might say I've gotten a bit carried away with the amount of Composite's products I've put into my system, the more I add, the better the sound gets. They're easy to use, nice looking, and the pricing is fair for the level of performance offered. They're easily the best I've heard, and I can't remember ever having this much fun listening to my system!

I am writing this testimonial in order to thank Composite Products LLC for the excellent technology they have harnessed at a reasonable price within their CF-2010 and similar products. My system represents a considerable investment in top-shelf components and a custom-designed set of state of the art audio racks that provide the first critical level of sonic isolation and vibration control. My 7 channel speaker system, sub-bass management system, transport, DAC, master clock, power conditioners, amps, etc… are all extremely heavy components weighing between 50 and 120 lbs per component and between 50 and 200 lbs per speaker. I utilized a large number of leading cone-style design vibration control tweaks with my gear over and above my stands that delivered great results however, it was not until I replaced these with Composite CF-2010 platforms that the full potential of my system across the entire frequence spectrum was realized. I had not thought my system could sound any better; I was wrong! The CF-2010's are sonically amazing; this coupled with a reasonable price and beautiful aesthetics have elevated my system in both sound and visual impact in more ways than I am able to list here. Thank you Composite for taking vibration control and system tuning to an entirely new level!

Gus this shelf is amazing! I have always known that vibration control was important for audio gear to perform at its best, but I was not prepared for what the CF-2010 did in my system. Much to my amazement this product transformed my stereo into a reference system. The entire sonic character of my system transformed in every way. The noise floor dropped and the bass definition and attack improved dramatically. The space between the notes and the sound stage were amazing. Very complicated passages that sounded like distortion now are glorious and powerful with clear separation of all the instruments. The highs are more extended with greater detail. The reference shelf was even more of a surprise. The bass seemed to have dropped an octave, my friend's thought there was subwoofer added to the system.
